“It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
(2 Thessalonians 2:14)

Have you ever wondered why God ever called you?
If you’re reading this it’s evident that God called you for a purpose, but have you ever wondered why He called you, for what specific reason did He consider it important to include you into His blueprint, His eternal purpose and plan.

Despite popular secular “belief”, you didn’t arrive here on earth because of an unknown plan. He ultimately brought you here that you might have fellowship with Him.

God has not overlooked any detail of your life. He arranged every thing that happens to you and every person you meet.
“…who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began…”
(2 Timothy 1:9).

Imagine if you will, every day, every hour has been purposed by God for you that in the knowledge of your salvation through Jesus Christ by faith, you are called each day to share in all Christ Jesus has given you to others that many others eternal lives would have their callings also fulfilled! You have a part in the work of God in this world to reach out and bring people to Jesus.

I remember when I read about the calling of the men who would become Jesus’s disciples, how it began with a prophet named John the Baptist:

“The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!” When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus.”

Later on these two disciples having found their Messiah began fulfilling their calling and purposely sharing with others about their witness.

“Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus.“. (John 1:35-37)

God was taking each of these men who He purposed in their calling , one at a time to fulfill their reason for being here, to declare the works of God in Christ Jesus, as witnesses of His deity.
He called them to share the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God called us for a purpose. He has called us to bring our circle of people around us to Jesus, to “come and see” where they can find Him and fulfill their purpose of God’s calling on their lives, ultimately to receive salvation and eternal life.
It could be your brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandma, grandpa, even your co-workers, friends.

Maybe you’re not “comfortable” sharing your faith and uneasy how to even start up a conversation about Jesus. Be encouraged.
Reaching out to bring those around us to Christ is a work of the Holy Spirit. All you need to do is take the step of faith and share what and where Christ met you and how your life has been radically transformed since then. People like to hear real stories about Jesus, ask God to help you every day you leave your front door. And when the “phone rings” and it says God is calling, pass it on, and introduce them to Jesus.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”
(Romans 1:16)
